The Margaret Chase Smith Library is a congressional research library and museum, home to the important papers and memorabilia from Senator Smith’s 32 ½ years in Congress. The library’s courtyard is a focal point of the museum, a small area with many beautiful plantings in need of pruning, weeding, and even replacing, with the loving care of Master Gardeners. Sen. Smith’s symbol was the red rose, yet there are currently no Margaret Chase Smith roses on the premises. We have ordered some to be delivered in the spring and would like them to become the focus of the courtyard. Project Coordinator: Lynnette King
