Each POW year begins October 1 and ends September 30.

Group Plan for Priority Issue Area:
- Sustainable Community and Economic Development (PDF) — This group plan includes work related to economic, small and home-based business, and community development.
Condition Outcome: A Safer, Healthier, More Productive Food System in Maine
Group Plan for Priority Issue Area:
- The Maine Food System (PDF) — This group plan includes work related to sustainable agriculture practices, farm energy efficiency, food safety practices, specialty food products, home horticulture, food insecurity and nutrition education.
Condition Outcome: Vibrant and Resilient Youth
Group Plan for Priority Issue Area:
- Positive Youth Development (PDF) — This group plan includes 4-H programming focused on positive youth development with an emphasis on science, citizenship and healthy living.

Annual Planning and Reporting Calendar
- Each POW year begins October 1 and ends September 30.
- Plans need to be updated annually with data for the upcoming 5 years. This process typically begins in late spring and continues through the summer.
- Reports for each Federal fiscal year (ending September 30) are due by October 15 of that year. Everyone is encouraged to enter at least one high-quality impact statement per year along with their reporting data.
