Working with Your Legislators
All staff must inform the Extension Director PRIOR TO ANY ACTION of their intent to invite US Representatives, US Senators, Governor, and Maine State Department Commissioners to University of Maine Cooperative Extension sponsored events. The same guidelines will also be used to invite senior administrators of UMaine and the University of Maine System to UMaine Extension events.

- Are there legislative committees that are relevant to your work? Who serves on those? Remember their staff and analysts are great contacts as well.
