OAC Overnight Program Schedule

Our overnight programs allow participants to experience the wonders of being part of a  community, whether that’s learning science content while hiking in small groups, playing field games during recreation time, eating family-style meals together in the dining hall, or enjoying some quiet game time at night with their cabinmates. At the end of an overnight stay, participants have a deep appreciation for each other and a newfound curiosity about the natural world. Schools choose between a 2-day/1-night program or 3-day/2-night program. If a marine ecology experience is desired, we’ll work to find a date with decent tides for exploring.

Day One:

9:30     Bus arrives

Divide into groups

Opening circles- welcome all!

10:30 Cabin Orientations

11:00 Morning/Afternoon courses (lunch on trail)

3:45 Snack in the dining hall

4:15 Recreation time

5:30 Dinner

6:45 Sensory Awareness / Night Walk

8:00 Bedtime story and adult evening meeting

8:30 Bedtime

Day Two:

 8:00- 8:45 Breakfast

 9:00 Morning courses

12:00 Lunch 

1:00 Afternoon courses

3:45 Snack in the dining hall

4:15 Recreation time

9:15 Load bus and depart for ocean site
