Goals

  • Help youth gain real-life experience necessary to make informed decisions about their future and provide insights to help guide post-secondary pursuits 
  • Connect their developing interests and passions to real-world employment experiences 
  • Highlight career paths within Washington County 
  • Increase access to career and post-secondary opportunities in conservation-related fields 
  • Foster the next generation of conservation stewards 
  • Help build a climate literate generation

Schedule 

The club will meet year-round, starting in September, 2024. The structure alternates between bi-monthly meetings and site visits, typically falling on the third Thursday of each month. The site visits will take place during school hours, youth will be able to leave school for these educational experiences, with teacher permission.

January 16, 2025- Host a professional panel of speakers to share their own professional journey and experiences
February 20, 2025– Site Visit 3
March 20, 2025– Adventure Component Brainstorming
April 17, 2025– Site Visit 4
May 15, 2025– Mock-Interviews / Take time to work on resumes and cover letters
June 2025- TBD– Site Visit 5
July 2025 – TBD– Culminating Group Experience (Service Project & Adventure Component)
