With the start of the new 4-H year just around the corner, Maine 4-H is excited to offer some virtual learning opportunities for 4-H volunteers! Whether you are a club volunteer who has worked with a group of youth for a number of years, or a newly enrolled volunteer trying to decide how you can get involved, the Maine 4-H program has something for you. Register to join us for one, two or all three virtual sessions to learn how you can work with 4-H youth this year.

Taking 4-H Outdoors
Led by Brittany Foster and Jen Lobley
Join us for an interactive virtual session that explores how to get your 4-H members outdoors. Learn both the benefits of taking youth outside and a simple process to help you plan out an outdoor experience for 4-Hers. Resources and activity ideas are included.

Virtual 4-H Special Interest Clubs – What’s All the Hype?

Not quite ready to hold in-person meetings with youth during this time of COVID? Have something you have thought about sharing with youth and weren’t quite sure how to find the time to travel, get them together, or even where to start? Join us for a session to learn how you can offer a short-term virtual experience for youth. Hear from 4-H staff members, Sarah and Greg who offered a virtual club this summer for 6 weeks to learn tips and tricks for facilitating a fun 4-H project via Zoom.

When Your 4-H Club Can’t Meet in Person…GO VIRTUAL!

You just got the letter that says Maine 4-H clubs can meet in-person, but the checklist of do’s and don’t’s is mindboggling! Join us to hear how 4-H club leaders are moving their club meetings to Zoom and meeting virtually. Does it work? Can you do it if you don’t consider yourself tech-savvy? Will the youth attend?
