Session Topics

October 4, 2022: Household Management

Piles of laundry/dishes, clutter on the table, scattered toys. How do we keep up with it all? In this session, we’ll talk about time management and organization for the home with our guest speaker from the Belfast Community Outreach Program in Education.

October 11, 2022: Meal Planning and Budgeting

Are you asking yourself every day what to make for dinner tonight? Are you thinking that your family eats the same meals over and over? Struggling to create a grocery budget? Bring your questions to our University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) professionals as they tackle this important topic.

October 18, 2022: Learning to Live with Others

Living with others is not always easy, especially when navigating it for the first time. Who does the dishes? Laundry? Grocery shopping? How about living with your family as an adult? The University of Maine’s Residential Life Director will offer us some ideas on navigating through it all.

October 25, 2022: Finding and Maintaining Employment

Seeking employment but unsure where to start? Trying to navigate a resume or create a list of professional references? Bring your questions to this session and our guest speaker from Goodwill Northern New England will offer ideas and resources to help you achieve this goal.

November 1, 2022: Money Management

Creating good financial health and sticking to it is not an easy task.  In this session, we’ll learn skills to help pay your bills, work towards saving, set financial goals, and learn about financial resources with our presenter from New Ventures Maine.

November 8, 2022: Balancing Everyday Stress

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Family life can be stressful and overwhelming which is why it is important to identify stressors and productive ways to handle them. Our presenter, a Human Development Specialist from The University of Maine Cooperative Extension, will guide us through an engaging conversation.
