PFAS Navigator Program
PFAS Navigator Program provides one-on-one assistance and support to PFAS-impacted farmers:
- Through collaborative conversations, the Program Coordinator and Navigators work with producers like you to identify needs, interests, and goals — both for your farms and families.
- To meet your goals, Navigators will help you connect with PFAS-related technical, medical, and financial assistance programs and resources.
- Program staff will be available to provide support as you navigate forms and applications for PFAS-related assistance programs.
- This is a voluntary, confidential, and no-cost program.
PLEASE NOTE: Our PFAS Navigation Team supports all participants by providing information and resources — our staff do not “represent” any participants and do not provide legal or other advice.
The PFAS Navigator Program is funded by DACF’s PFAS Fund and is managed by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Maine Agricultural Mediation Program (MAMP).
If the PFAS Navigator Program may be of assistance, please contact us by completing the brief Participant Interest Form or contact program coordinator, Shiela Leonard, via phone at 207.955.1977 or email at um.pfasnavcoord@maine.edu. We look forward to collaborating with you!
This is a confidential and no-cost program and this service will be available starting July 1, 2024.
You’re invited to Meet Our Team — including our new PFAS Navigator Program Coordinator & Navigators!
