Possible Monilinia infection periods from April 27 to May 2

There were multiple possible infection periods in fields in the Midcoast and Downeast over this weekend.  Many fields had wet weather from April 27 through to May 2nd.  Cups are still being found in Midcoast and Downeast.

Typically you can apply fungicide every 7 (if very heavy rain in your areas) to 10 days, and it will protect your plants.   Applying fungicide before an infection event is a safer method of protecting your plants.  If you applied fungicide after April 20th, your plants  were probably protected during these past infection periods.

The rain forecast for the rest of this week is likely going to produce more possible infection periods.  I do not expect the cups to start drying up until next week at the earliest.
