Turkey Hunting

In Maine, turkey hunting is a fun and exciting way to get outside as the sessions change and the thrill of chasing and calling turkeys is like no other. Lucky for us, spring turkey season is right around the corner! In this workshop, we will focus on tips and tricks to make your hunt a success. We will focus on turkey habits and habitats, calling and decoy use, and will have a look into gear for both archery and shotgun hunting. We will also dive into the safe use and handling of shotguns and get some time on the range. You will have the opportunity to try a few different

shotguns so you can find what works best for you! By the time you leave, you will be ready to jump into some camouflage and try talking to a turkey.

All materials and equipment are provided including firearms, shotshells, safety gear, and clay targets. Participants should bring their own lunch and are encouraged to bring their own safety glasses and ear protection. For those that don’t have it, we can provide safety equipment for you.
