The Bryant Pond Learning Center is the official board of directors that oversees the property and infrastructure of the Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center. This dedicated board consists of 12 active members that lend their time and talents to support our organization through various ways such as fiscal oversight, programmatic contributions, facilities maintenance and capital improvements, as well as community outreach and fundraising.

The Bryant Pond Learning Center is an independent non-profit 501 (c) 3 and owns the land and building in which are then leased to the University of Maine, allowing for the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning at Bryant Pond to exist in its current form. The Bryant Pond Learning Center (BPLC) is broken into several specific committees, each with distinct areas of focus such as Facilities and Grounds, Community Relations, etc. These committees also include members of the U. Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center staff.  The BPLC’s focus is to provide a high quality facility that is safe, attractive, and functional. The board has  initiated a 10-year master planning process that includes a comprehensive plan that will balance the needs of the facility with sustainable growth and amenities that further compliment the work of the 4-H program.

The BPLC is actively looking for new members that are dynamic, and dedicated to supporting the mission of the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center’s program. If you feel that you or someone you know would be a good fit for the BPLC, please consider contacting the camps Statewide Director of Maine 4-H Camps, Ryder Scott.
