The Bryant Pond Learning Center (BPLC) serves as the official board of directors overseeing the property and infrastructure of the Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center. This dedicated board comprises 12 active members who generously contribute their time and expertise to support the organization in areas such as fiscal oversight, program development, facilities maintenance, capital improvements, community outreach, and fundraising.

As an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit, the BPLC owns the land and buildings that are leased to the University of Maine, enabling the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Bryant Pond to operate in its current form. The BPLC is organized into several focused committees, such as Facilities and Grounds or Community Relations, each working on specific priorities. These committees also include members of the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center staff, fostering collaboration and alignment.

The BPLC is committed to maintaining a high-quality facility that is safe, attractive, and functional. As part of this mission, the board has initiated a 10-year master planning process. This comprehensive plan is designed to balance the facility’s needs with sustainable growth, ensuring the addition of amenities that complement the vital work of the 4-H program.

The BPLC is actively seeking new members who are dynamic, dedicated, and passionate about supporting the mission of the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center. If you or someone you know would be a great fit for this impactful board, please contact Ryder Scott, Statewide Director of Maine 4-H Camps.
