Jeffrey Colpitts

Jeff was first introduced to Environmental Education while working at Maine Bound Adventure Center during his time at the University of Maine; where he studied Ecology and Environmental Sciences. He discovered a passion for introducing youth to the outdoors through trip leading, team building, and having fun in nature! As a native of Peru, Maine he was excited to return to Western Maine after college and begin inspiring kids in his own neck of the woods.  He worked as a Field Teacher for several seasons, as Program Coordinator, and now serves as the Assistant Director.

Jeff coordinates all programs with the dozens of Maine Schools we invite to camp in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. He loves helping kids find their passion outdoors and hopes to work with every child in every school. If you’re interested in getting your students to camp; reach out to him and he’ll help you take the first steps.

Jeff is a Wilderness First Responder, and a Maine Trip Leader. When he’s not working or in the woods, you can find him drinking coffee, and watching The Patriots game with his wife!
