Microgreens are herb, flower, or vegetable greens grown densely in trays and harvested just after they’ve put on their first true leaves (about 1-6”). These tiny greens are packed with nutrients, color, and flavor, and are easy to grow indoors at home where limited space is available. In this workshop, participants will learn how to grow high-quality microgreens, select varieties based on their flavor profiles, and safely harvest, store, and use microgreens of their choosing. Participants will taste a variety of different microgreens and sow their own tray to take home.
This workshop will take place at the UMaine Regional Learning Center, 75 Clearwater Dr, Ste 104, Falmouth, ME. Space is limited. Registration is required – program fee is offered on a sliding scale, $10-$20, with all proceeds supporting the educational mission of Tidewater Farm.
