Unlock the secrets of delicious, home-preserved foods with this Fall lecture series, guided by Master Food Preserver Claire Schreiber. Join us for three engaging sessions where you’ll learn the art and science of food preservation. Each lesson is designed to be informative and hands-on, perfect for both beginners and seasoned preservers. Throughout the series we’ll utilize materials and equipment available in the Curtis Memorial Library of things. Perfect for you to check out and try at home!

October: Crunchy Apple Chips – 1.5 Hours
Discover the simple yet rewarding process of making apple chips, a healthy and tasty snack. This class covers selecting the best apples, the techniques for slicing and seasoning, and the secrets to achieving the perfect crispness. With minimal equipment that you can borrow from our Library of Things, you’ll gain skills that can easily be applied to other fruits and vegetables.
