September 23, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Event Navigation
Urban farmers and gardeners play a pivotal role in Maine’s towns and cities, providing nutritious food, community building, education, and safe spaces for their neighbors. We invite urban growers, producers, organizations, and individuals that contribute local food to urban communities to unwind at Backyard Blooms, an urban flower farm in Portland’s Woodfords Corner neighborhood. We’ll learn about the challenges and opportunities for a commercial urban farm, and discuss topics related to urban agriculture in Maine. Please join us and celebrate the contribution of urban growers in our communities!
This is a free event, but pre-registration is appreciated.
