Servings 2 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (skim milk or unsweetened milk alternative)
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 banana, ripe or frozen (Using a frozen banana will make the smoothie more creamy but a regular banana can be used too. A ripe banana is recommended because it helps sweeten the smoothie)
  • 1 cup spinach, fresh
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

If applicable, see notes for estimated amounts (cups, tablespoons, etc.).

Instructions

  • Clean the kitchen area and wash hands with soap and water.
  • Gently rub produce under cold running water.
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  • Puree on high speed and blend until smooth.
  • Serve or store in the fridge for later.

Storage

  • Refrigerate any leftovers as soon as possible or within 2 hours for safety.
  • Leftovers can also be frozen in freezer-grade containers or bags and used within 3 to 4 months for best quality.
