Dorthea Dix Garden and Greenhouse

Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center provides a gardening program for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to reap the many benefits of gardening. We are looking to expand our current program and growing capacity by constructing and introducing two or more additional fenced in raised plant beds. We would also benefit from assistance in basic maintenance such as watering the garden and greenhouse once or twice weekly in order to supplement the work that staff and patients are able to achieve.
