Ecotat Gardens is a nature preserve maintained for the surrounding communities and its visitors to learn about Maine’s ecological habitat. The beautiful display gardens and nature trails are home to hundreds of perennials, daylilies, peonies, roses, irises, flowering shrubs, and numerous other plants. Ecotat trustees and volunteers work to weed, deadhead, plant new and move existing plants, maintain trails, and other tasks as needed. We are excited as we plan to create a butterfly garden in 2019. Whether you are an experienced gardener or novice, all volunteers are welcome. Weekly group work nights are held every Wednesday evening spring-fall, but additional volunteer work times are available upon request. Project Coordinator: Mary Deane
