UMaine Extension Program Affiliation Logos
In accordance with the branding guide, University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s logo is required on all University of Maine Cooperative Extension materials, including brochures, flyers, fact sheets, newsletters, posters, promotional items, advertisements, web pages, etc.
Why use our logo instead of just a program logo?
Using our official logo will help build and strengthen brand awareness and ensure consistency of message. It carries a reciprocal benefit: your program will be recognized as part of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be recognized as home to your program.
Perhaps most importantly, all UMaine Extension programs depend heavily on University of Maine funding and infrastructure. Legislators need to make the connection that if they love a particular Extension program, they should fund the University of Maine.
Examples of program affiliations
Please note, for all programs we have an official University of Maine Cooperative Extension logo. The examples below show how text may be used to align the logo with programs.
If text is used, please use Book Antiqua, bold, to match the type in the official logo. Set the type several point sizes smaller than the type in the official logo. Keep the program name to one line, no longer than the width of the logo.

- UMaine Extension logo with Integrated Pest Management program affiliation
Examples of University of Maine Cooperative Extension “combination logos”
The following combination logos pair long-standing program logos with our logo and are exceptions to our branding strategy. Combination logos must be used in the exact proportions and layout as shown below. The crest, typewritten words, and emblems constitute an entire logo; the elements should not be separated.
