Martha Leavitt

Marty (Martha) Leavitt lives in Northport with her husband, Bill.  An Army BRAT and proud of it!  Her dad was in the Army for 35 years and they enjoyed living all over the world. He retired in Maine so the family stayed here.

Marty graduated from the University of Maine in 1970.  She as an Animal Medical Technician at a Veterinarian’s office in New York for five years and later worked in Maine at a large cat kennel for 6 years.

Marty and Bill volunteer at Tanglewood as did Marty’s mother.  They have been volunteering for 20 years and still do whatever is needed at camp. Tanglewood uses their ocean-front property for campers and school groups to do tidal pool discovery and STEM programming.

Marty has also been a Boy Scout leader for 35 years. She has 2 children, a son who just retired from the US Army and a daughter.
