Waldo County Extension Association

The Waldo County Extension Association officially directs UMaine Cooperative Extension’s work in Waldo County. Decisions made by the association guide programming are performed by staff and volunteers. Popular annual events include the Winter Growers’ Potluck and Rural Living Day. Supported in part by county office space and an annual appropriation, the association is led by a merry band of 7-19 residents with diverse interests in food systems and youth development. New members are sought each summer for terms beginning at the annual meeting in September. All meetings and programs are open to the public. Reasonable accommodations are made to enable universal participation; please do not hesitate to ask! Contact the office or any current member for more information.
