UMaine Extension to host statewide forage conference for livestock producers in Waterville

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host the annual Maine Forage Conference on November 8, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Governor’s Restaurant, 376 Main Street in Waterville.

The conference, which will feature a trade show with business vendors, is an opportunity for members of the dairy, equine and livestock industries to network and learn about forages from subject matter experts and colleagues. Speakers include Nicholas Richardson, sales manager at Kent Nutrition Group’s Blue Seal Retail Stores Division, and Rick Kersbergen, forage expert and former statewide Extension dairy specialist. The event will also include a question and answer session with a local farmer panel and presentation of the Maine Hay Contest awards.
