Cooking Matters offers hands-on lessons covering meal preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting, and nutrition. Participants practice basic food skills, such as reading ingredient labels and making a healthy meal on a budget.
In Cooking Matters for Parents you will learn to:
- Prepare and plan healthy meals
- Use proper knife techniques
- Save money at the grocery store
- Keep food safe to eat
- Be more active
The course will meet Mondays, January 6 through February 24, 2020.
Participants will receive a cookbook upon completion of the course.
This program is a collaboration between the Washington County CAN Prevention Council and DownEast Recovery and Support Center.
