Food Preservation Boiling Water Bath Canning Hands-On in Baileyville

Ever wonder how to preserve all those great garden vegetables? University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s hands-on food preservation workshop will teach you the basics of preserving food at home using a boiling water bath canner. This workshop will provide you with the current USDA recommendation for preserving food at home safely.

• Ingredients and canning jars provided.
• Bring a potholder to take home a jar of pickled carrots.
• Information packets on home canning for each participant.
• This is a pay what you can class with a suggested donation of $20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Registration is required.
