This information session is for anyone interested in learning more about, and becoming involved in, the UMaine Extension 4-H WHEP program. WHEP is a national program aimed at educating young people about wildlife and fisheries habitat management. All ages are welcome, but the program is best suited for 8- to 18-year-olds. In addition to learning about wildlife and habitats, youth participate in an annual state competition to test their knowledge! In addition, 14- to 18-year-olds may be able to compete in the National WHEP contest! Attend the online session to find out more about how you can get involved as a volunteer or youth participant.
