Whether you’re new to hunting or want to shoot trap, skeet, or sporting clays, this workshop will help you become a better shooter. Shotguns are very versatile with a wide range of options and purposes in the field and on the range. You’ll learn the basics of safe gun handling, action types, and shot selection in regards to various applications, and have plenty of hands-on shooting time on the range. Shooting clay sporting clays over snow is fun and exciting, and through our professional instruction, you’ll leave a more confident shooter. All materials and equipment are provided including firearms, shotshells, safety gear, and clay targets. You will leave with additional resources on places to hunt, shooting clubs and ranges in your area, and more information to help you further your knowledge and enjoyment of this growing sport.

This workshop will be led by certified 4-H shooting sports instructors. Participants should bring their own lunch and are encouraged to bring their own safety glasses and ear protection. For those that don’t have it, we can provide safety equipment for you.
