Building Soil Health: No-Till Veg Field Tour

Join UMaine Cooperative Extension and the Bumbleroot Farm crew to learn about techniques for using no-till systems on farms of various scales and production models!
This free event will include a tour of the Tarping for Cover Crop Based No-Till Trial Plots at Bumbleroot Organic Farm, demonstrations by the NH Strafford and Rockingham Conservation Districts of their tillage reducing implements available for rental, Snell Family Farm’s Zone Tiller, UMaine Extension’s BCS walk-behind tractor implements, and discussions of reduced tillage and cover crop planting strategies.
