Come learn the process of making your own kimchi through the wonders of fermentation. This hands-on food preservation workshop taught by UMaine Extension staff and volunteers will teach you the basic steps for fermenting. Learn the basics, such as preserving equipment, recommended recipes, and ingredients, and enjoy the ease of fermentation. You will start a batch of kimchi, learn about the process of fermentation, and take your first batch home to finish.

This workshop will take place at Root Wild Kombucha, 135 Washington Ave., Portland, ME. Space is limited and registration is required. Your ticket price includes one 12 oz. kombucha (must be 21 years+). The program runs from 5:30 – 7pm.
