Come learn about the potential of soil steaming as a weed management tool. This practice is being used by farmers in high tunnels and localized zones of field production. This discussion session will highlight the experiences of a farmer cooperative who have been sharing a steamer unit as part of a Specialty Crop Block Grant. In this discussion session we will discuss the pros and cons of steaming, the process of steaming soils, and how other growers can access the steamer for use on your farm.
This program is available to attend in-person or via Zoom. Please note: while a Zoom option is available, all speakers will be in-person.
