Fruit Salad

This Fruit Salad is perfect for summer with its mix of refreshing fruits like apples, mandarin oranges, bananas, pineapple, and grapes. It's a light and hydrating dish ideal for staying cool during hot days.

Servings 10 1 cup

Ingredients
  

  • 5 medium apples
  • 3 small mandarin oranges
  • 2 small bananas
  • 1 cup seedless grapes
  • 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice

Instructions
 

  • Clean the kitchen area and wash hands with soap and water.
  • Gently rinse fresh produce under cold running water.
  • Core and slice apples, add to a large bowl.
  • Peel and slice bananas, and add to the same large bowl.
  • Peel mandarin oranges and break them into sections, and add to the same large bowl.
  • Cut grapes in half and add to the same large bowl.
  • Add canned pineapple and pineapple juice to the same large bowl.
  • Gently mix fruits together with a spoon.
  • Cover and chill until ready to serve.

Storage

  • Refrigerate any leftovers as soon as possible or within 2 hours for safety.
  • Use leftovers within 4 days.

  • To save money, choose fruit that is in season and on sale. Peaches, plums, pears, melon, berries, or other fruit can be used instead of the fruit listed.
