Strawberry Salsa

Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries
¼ cup finely diced red onion
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro or mint
1 tablespoon lime juice (~½ lime)
¼ teaspoon salt
(optional) ½ jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
Directions
- Wash strawberries and cilantro or mint.
- Dice strawberries and onion, and chop herbs.
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
- For more flavorful salsa, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 3 days.
Notes
- Use cilantro or mint based on flavor preference.
- Serve in tacos, on grilled chicken, or with baked cinnamon tortilla chips.
