Strawberry Salsa

Ingredients
- 2 cups finely chopped fresh strawberries
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro or mint
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeño pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Clean the kitchen area and wash hands with soap and water.
- Gently rub produce under cold running water. Gently rinse fresh herbs under cold running water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
- For more flavorful salsa, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Storage
- Refrigerate any leftovers as soon as possible or within 2 hours for safety.
- Use leftovers within 4 days.
