Strawberry Salsa

Capture the essence of summer with our refreshing Strawberry Salsa recipe. Featuring fresh strawberries, tangy lime juice, and a hint of heat from jalapeño, this salsa is the perfect accompaniment to outdoor gatherings and adds a burst of flavor to your summer dishes. Pair with grilled chicken or fish for a light and flavorful dinner.

Servings 8 ¼ cup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups finely chopped fresh strawberries
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro or mint
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeño pepper (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Clean the kitchen area and wash hands with soap and water.
  • Gently rub produce under cold running water. Gently rinse fresh herbs under cold running water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
  • Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
  • For more flavorful salsa, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Storage

  • Refrigerate any leftovers as soon as possible or within 2 hours for safety.
  • Use leftovers within 4 days.
