Supporting Relationships for Farm Success (Recorded Webinar)

In this 90-minute training for Agricultural Service Providers, participants will consider the needs of farmers and skills related to communication, decision making, goal setting and time management. Participants will learn about a new farmer typology designed to deepen service providers’ understanding of farmers both beginning and established. Service providers will be introduced to the idea of acting as a guide rather than an expert in consultations. Members of the project team will introduce new tools and resources for service providers that are designed to assist farmers with the challenges related to interpersonal skills.

Presenters: Leslie Forstadt, PhD, Human Development Specialist, University of Maine Cooperative Extension, conducts educational programs and research about farm/family balance, communication skills, and stress reduction. Abby Sadauckas, MFA, is a farmer at Apple Creek Farm in Maine.
