Jessica Decke

Tanglewood Director has a BS in Wildlife Conservation from Missouri State University and an MS in Environmental Studies from Antioch New England Graduate School. She has worked in the environmental education field for over 25 years at ecology centers and parks across the country. Jessica started as a seasonal staff member at Tanglewood in 2001, returning for several seasons before settling in Maine and at Tanglewood permanently in 2006. She became camp director upon the retirement of our founders, Jim and Cindy Dunham, in 2008. In 2017, she stepped into the role of Director of Tanglewood. Jessica’s favorite Law of Ecology is Everything is Connected. When not serving as a 4-H Youth Development Professional, she enjoys snuggling with her three cats, building Lego sets, cooking, and exploring the outdoors.
