Business planning workshop series starts May 1
University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering a free 4-session business planning workshop with an optional consultation session starting May 1 from 9 a.m.-12 noon at UMaine Extension, 28 Center Street, Machias. The remaining dates are May 25, 31, and June 1. Consultations will be scheduled June 27.
‘Starting your business: Planning for success’ begins the series with participants reviewing key questions to consider in business planning. Additional workshop topics are cybersecurity, pricing goods and services, and descision-making with market research. Scheduled presenters are Extension business and economics specialist and UMaine economics professor Jim McConnon, Extension professor Louis Bassano, UMaine business reference librarian Grace Yan Liu, and Bangor Savings Bank chief information security officer Russell Patton.
