Share Tastes of Summer with Maine Harvest for Hunger
Share the taste of sweet corn, crisp green beans, and squash by participating in the Maine Harvest for Hunger Program, sponsored by University of Maine Cooperative Extension.
Participants receive free seeds to plant and, when the fruits and vegetables ripen, the produce is donated to local food pantries and neighbors in need. More information, including how to volunteer, is at Maine Harvest for Hunger, or available by stopping by the UMaine Extension Washington County office, 28 Center St., Machias, 207.255.3345; tara.a.wood@maine.edu.
