Compost Webinar Series- Is Carcass Composting the Right Decision?

University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Maine Compost Team are hosting a series of compost seminars in March 2021. The hour-long seminars will begin at 12:00 noon (EST).  Each seminar will address a current issue in agriculture or waste management.

Seminar Details

Tuesday, March 23: Is Carcass Composting the Right Decision? — Dr. Krishona Martinson, Equine Extension Specialist, University of Minnesota. Dr. Martinson’s team conducted a national survey of equine owners and veterinarians about equine carcass composting.  The results are eye-opening.

Tuesday, March 30: Composting Hemp Residual — Mark King, Environmental Specialist Maine Department of Environmental Protection and Maine Compost Team. Mr. King will discuss observations from a recent pilot compost project and regulations for compost operations.
