Washington County Fair

August 29 - August 30

| Free

The Washington County Fair is just around the corner, and it is time for local youth to shine. Taking place on August 29 and 30, 2026, at the Pembroke Fair Grounds, this year’s fair invites all Washington County youth between the ages of 5 and 18 to participate, create, and showcase their hard work.

This year’s featured event is the “Harvesting Possibilities” 4-H Exhibit. Whether you are a lifelong 4-H member or completely new to the program, this is your chance to share your projects with the community.

How to Participate & Register

The “Harvesting Possibilities” Exhibit is open to all enrolled Washington County 4-H members. Not a member yet? No problem! You can easily enroll in 4-H at the same time you register your exhibit.

To ensure your spot in the exhibition hall, please keep these key dates and rules in mind:

Pre-Registration Deadline: You must notify the Extension office of your intent to enter by Friday, August 21, 2026. You can sign up using the online registration form, by calling 207.255.3345, or by emailing extension.washington@maine.edu.

Entry Limits: Each 4-H youth can submit a maximum of five entries.

Project Timeline: All exhibits must have been produced or prepared by the member during the current 4-H year (October 2025 – September 2026). While 4-H clubs are welcome to collaborate on projects, individual members must produce their own entries for the individual exhibits.

Exhibit Cards: Every entry must have a completed exhibit card attached. You can pick these cards up ahead of time at the Washington County Cooperative Extension Office.
