Project Director Richard Brzozowski exhibited at the spring Maine OT Association annual conference on April 7.
On Saturday, March 30, Ellen Gibson presented AgrAbility resources as part of an employee training at O’Donal’s nursery and greenhouses. She gave a talk titled “How to Lift, How to Bend. How to Protect your Back, Protect your Joints!” to 32 employees.
Maine AgrAbility specialist Ellen Gibson presented “Universal Design in the Garden” to a group of 30 people on April 5. This was part two of an AgrAbility presentation at the Belfast Senior College Spring 2018 course, “Keep on Gardening”. It was an exchange of ideas around people’s favorite garden tools and methods.
Ellen Gibson also presented an adaptive gardening session at the Rural Living Day on April 7 in Thorndike. This was a smaller group of eight people eager to get back in their gardens. They learned about new tools and techniques, as well as how to adapt their existing tools to make gardening easier on their bodies.
