4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Training Workshops (Level I)
Participation in the 4-H Shooting Sports has steadily grown in recent years and with this growth comes a greater demand for volunteer instructors. The 4-H model is a comprehensive youth development program that utilizes shooting sports as a way of connecting with young people teaching life skills such as teamwork, respect, and discipline as well as safety and enjoyment. Currently there are certified 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors in every county in the state and that list is growing.
June 15th-16th, 2019 – Held at Bryant Pond 4-H Camp & Learning Center, Bryant Pond, ME
The training will be held at Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Bryant Pond, on June 15th – 16th, 2019. At this training, Archery, Rifle, & Shotgun instructor training will be offered. This training is a 2 day training program starting at 8:30 am Saturday and ending at 2 pm Sunday with meals included. Cost for the training is $85 per person.
The minimum age to be an instructor is 21, and you must possess certification in the discipline that you would like to lead. Many folks end up getting certified in several different focuses, giving them growth and flexibility in what they can offer. This training will begin Saturday with registration at 8:30 am and Welcome & Orientation starting at 9:00 am. Program will conclude on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
