Lyndsey Smith, NorthStar Program Coordinator adult volunteers in canoe

Lyndsey is a graduate of Unity College with a Bachelors of Science in Adventure Education and Adventure Therapy. Lyndsey has worked, for over sixteen years, as a wilderness guide, challenge course trainer and facilitator, environmental educator, and youth ally. She has worked for the University of Maine 4-H Center at Bryant Pond since 2011. She has called Western Maine home for fourteen years and enjoys working with kids, gardening, cooking, and spending time outside. Lyndsey lives in Bethel with her husband Bryon and son Arlo.

On NorthStar trips, Lyndsey is responsible for relationship building, logistical coordination, risk management, emergencies, driving, student behavior management, meal oversight, and contingency options. Lyndsey also coordinates student activities, and student/family communication and will recruit, interview, and provide training to community volunteer mentors.
