Who should attend: Both pork and beef producers wanting to improve the quality of their product through humane handling, best management practices, and health of animals.

Description: University of Maine Cooperative Extension in partnership with Windham Butcher Shop will be hosting double livestock quality assurance training session in Windham, Maine on March 27, 2020 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Participants can expect to learn about low-stress handling techniques, the importance of implementing biosecurity features, health concerns, housing, transportation, improving the quality of their product and welfare of their animals. Those who complete this program will receive Certificates in both Pork Quality Assurance Plus and Beef Quality Assurance.
