Funding for New Faculty Applied Research

New faculty eligible for continuing contract may request funding to support their applied research project goals. Funds can be accessed by submitting an applied research project proposal to one’s supervisor within the first three years of employment. In this time period faculty are expected to demonstrate progress in focusing on and laying the groundwork for their applied research as an integral part of their faculty work. The amount of funding available is negotiable with one’s supervisor within the limits set by Extension administration at the time of hire.
