Teen Leadership Adventure Programs, ages 13-17
Trips and leadership programs at Blueberry Cove create space for teens to learn new skills and practice them in real life situations. They will find an environment of belonging as they experience the joy of summer by the sea and making new friends along the way.
Campers will develop and experience a sense of confidence and resilience while taking responsibility for their inevitable successes as they learn about stewardship, coastal ecology, and the marine environment’s role in maintaining a sustainable, thriving planet.
So if you are looking for adventure, challenge, and friendship, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the natural world, one of these programs is a great way to spend your summer.
Islands and Sea
Learn skills in boating, navigation, and water safety as you discover the magical world of the Maine coast. Each day participants will wake up at our coastal campsite to the sounds of the ocean. Participants will have an opportunity to explore the shores and waterways of Tenants Harbor and Penobscot Bay including hiking, swimming, canoeing and kayaking. They will culminate their week with an overnight or a two-day trip to our island campsite! Participants should be comfortable swimming and interested in camping out, rain or shine!

Ocean Adventure
Blueberry Cove’s Ocean Adventure program is two weeks of exciting ocean adventures. Wake up in our coastal campsites tucked in along the shoreline to the sounds of the ocean breaking along our rocky Maine coast. Then spend every day in and around the ocean exploring, and learning about Penobscot Bay and its surrounding islands via, canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard.
This program will include a multi-day trip along one of the many coastal waterways around St. George and an unforgettable overnight trip to explore the rugged beauty of Acadia National Park!

Leaders in Training
The Leaders in Training (LIT) program at Blueberry Cove is a two-week training course for individuals who want to develop the personal and professional skills necessary to become successful leaders both at Blueberry Cove and in their communities.
Participants will practice being leaders through their participation in outdoor adventures, multi-day overnight trips, working with younger campers, and community service. Many leadership participants consider these programs some of the most valuable experiences of their lives.
