UMaine Extension 4-H Offers Dog SPIN Club in Machias
University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H is offering a special interest (SPIN) club for youth, ages 9 and up. The club meets five Wednesday evenings, 5:30-7 p.m., beginning June 22, in Machias. Remaining dates are June 29, and July 13, 20 and 27, concluding with participation in the Bangor Fair 4-H Dog Show July 30.
The club features hands-on learning using 4-H dog project curriculum, including proper care and basic commands, and lessons in how to participate in 4-H dog shows. Dogs must have a current license, and proof of rabies and distemper vaccinations.
The $5 fee includes project curriculum. Participation is limited to six; registration closes May 30 or when the class is full. Register online.
