Do you love the taste of tacos but want something a little less messy? Try this Mainely Dish Taco Pie recipe! This recipe has become one of my go to recipes because I love the light texture of the pie crust, and it is easy to put together. If you want to increase the protein, you could add more beans (I have added two cans of beans instead of one can for a more dense pie, and it tasted great) or meat (such as ground turkey or beef, or shredded chicken) to this recipe. I plan on adding chopped bell peppers for additional vegetables and a pop of color the next time I make this recipe.

If you prefer a classic taco recipe – no problem. When you make tacos, you can try this recipe for a homemade taco seasoning mix:

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
