Summer Camp at Bryant Pond

Explore the outdoors. Discover new skills. Make memories that last.
Summer at Bryant Pond is about adventure, discovery, friendship, and learning through experience. Located in the beautiful mountains of Western Maine, Bryant Pond offers campers opportunities to explore the outdoors, challenge themselves, develop new skills, and build confidence in a supportive camp community.
Each week brings a combination of program-specific outdoor learning and traditional summer camp activities. Depending on their program, campers may spend time canoeing and swimming at our beautiful waterfront, hiking Mt. Christopher, taking on challenges at our ropes course, and developing outdoor safety and wilderness skills.
And of course, everyone looks forward to Thursday night campfire—a Bryant Pond tradition filled with skits, songs, stories, and laughter.
Learning Through Adventure — Creating Your Own Path
At Bryant Pond, summer camp is about more than having fun—although there’s certainly plenty of that! Our programs combine hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and traditional camp experiences to help young people develop new skills, build confidence, and discover interests that can last a lifetime.
Many of our programs are organized into learning paths, allowing campers to explore a particular interest and take on new challenges as they grow. From introductory experiences for younger campers to more advanced opportunities for teens, these paths encourage skill development, independence, and personal growth.
But there’s no single path through Bryant Pond. Campers are encouraged to follow their interests, explore different programs, and create their own summer camp journey. Some may choose to build on skills from one summer to the next, while others discover something entirely new each year. With a few program-specific exceptions, campers can enter any age-appropriate program without previous experience.
Whether they’re learning wilderness survival skills, exploring shooting sports, developing outdoor leadership abilities, or discovering Maine’s natural world, our approach emphasizes learning by doing. Campers gain practical skills while making friends, trying new things, and enjoying everything that makes summer camp special.
Explore our program paths using the Summer Camp menu to discover the opportunities available and find the experience that’s right for your camper.
Most programs run Sunday through Friday, with longer experiences available for campers looking for additional challenges.

“My stepson came home yesterday covered in dirt from head to toe, and so happy about his week at camp. We thought his experience at Bryant Pond last year couldn’t be beat, but somehow you pulled it off. Thanks for providing our son and others with meaningful education, amazing mentors, new perspectives, and of course, fun.” — Summer Camp Parent
