Rivers and Peaks (13-15)

campers on river canoe trip

Rivers and Peaks gives you the best of both worlds! You’ll start with basic paddle strokes and T-Rescues and quickly learn how to travel and paddle efficiently and confidently. You’ll spend a day paddling a section of the Androscoggin River where previous paddlers have spotted moose, bald eagles, giant snapping turtles, osprey, and other wildlife! Next, you will learn about survival, map and compass, and preparation for your next hiking adventure. Using this knowledge you will then embark on a journey to a local Western Maine hiking destination where you will spend the day hiking to a great view!  And of course, you will enjoy all the other great camp activities offered here at Bryant Pond 4-H Camp such as swimming, campfires, and more. Grab your paddle and your day pack, it’s time for an adventure!
