Treasure Camp (ages 7-10)
Treasure Camp is an exciting week of outdoor exploration of the natural treasures and minerals that abound in the mountains of Western Maine. Days will be spent searching for real gemstones and unique mineral specimens from a real mine. Of course, there will be plenty of time canoeing, swimming, hiking, and other traditional camp activities. Campers will deepen their appreciation for the natural world while building confidence in their outdoor skills. Other activities will include geocaching and exploring old cellar holes for signs and remnants of days gone by. Participants will enjoy group challenges, gardening, forest and pond discoveries, and meeting new friends!
