Maine Sports Afield (ages 13 -15)
Bryant Pond 4-H Camp is a leader in connecting youth to the outdoors and in providing archery and firearms hunter safety camps, and other programs focused on traditional Maine outdoor activities.
Bryant Pond’s Maine Sports Afield program is designed to introduce teen campers to a wider variety of hunting and fishing opportunities. This comprehensive program will focus on experience from professionals with the goal of exposing participants to proven tactics and tips for greater success in the field or on the water.
Hunting activities will include lessons on waterfowl, deer, and turkey hunting using the latest calling and decoying techniques. Fishing activities will hone in on warm water and cold water fisheries; learning about lure selection, casting variations, and equipment. During this program, campers will travel to a local pond to fish as well as visit the Maine Wildlife Park and take a tour through the Dry Mills Fish Hatchery.
