Welcome to UMaine Extension New Staff Orientation and Training!
Many of us currently working in UMaine Extension believe the organization will provide you an opportunity that is both professionally exciting and rewarding.
The following orientation videos, web pages, and training opportunities will help you get to know the organization, learn and reinforce customer service skills, and understand the requirements of your new position.

Please Note: If you are a campus-based Extension new staff member, you will be informed of campus-based safety and equal opportunity/sexual harassment training in your appointment letter. Please plan to attend those sessions since safety training is not available through Extension’s new employee training. If the Extension new employee sexual harassment/equal opportunity training fits your schedule better than the on-campus sessions, you may plan to attend with other new Extension employees. Click on each of the topics in the top navigation bar of this website to become familiar with the many areas covered in our staff site. Specifically, review the Policies & Procedures Manual and complete the training programs listed above.
